Converted email processing from webhook to background polling task.2019-2022: Maintained several web services, including MLS/Ichnaea (a geolocation service), Tecken (a symbols upload and stack symbolication service), Socorro (a crash ingestion and reporting service), Taskcluster (an integration testing platform), and CTMS (a contact database).* Modernized legacy codebases, including Python 3 migrations, converting to Docker, and documentation.* Improved dual object storage layer (GCS / S3) with a GCS emulator for local development* Used data tools such as InfluxDB, Grafana, Big Query, and Jupyter Notebooks to analyze data for trends and create reports2015-2019: Back-end development of MDN Web Docs, a wiki dedicated to documenting the open web.* Updated processes and procedures to combat a massive automated spam attack. Managed a group of contractors to implement high priority changes. Reduced published spam incidences from 100s per day to 2-5 per week.* Created a plan to modernize MDN infrastructure and re-host in AWS. Worked across the Mozilla organization to get buy-in. Supervised implementation and testing of the migration. Completed 15 months later, with content available during the 4-hour database transfer.* Migrated from a VM-based Vagrant development environment to a Docker-based development and production environment, making contributions easier.* Migrated macros from the database to a GitHub repository, including historical data. Working on further projects to move data to git repositories.* Created a set of tools to allow external contributors to develop with published data and without using a copy of the production database.* Published a monthly report of changes to the code and content of MDN, to highlight new contributors, explain big changes, and recognize co-workers.* Worked with external contractors to implement a contributions system in time for holidays.
