John has organized 2-4 events a year since starting 360|Conferences. Primarily focused on soup-to-nuts conference organization for software developer communities while also offering consulting services to clients looking to host their own events.Conferences (End to end event management): • 360|iDev• 360|intersect• Chicago Roboto• 360|AnDevConsulting work (various roles)• Fullcontact Connect (2018). His events offer travel and lodging coverage in addition to encouraging under-represented groups to submit talks. His CFP process is a blind portal with judges recruited from the community in order to remove as many biases as possible. The judges are always a slice of the community as a whole demographically.

As one of the senior most developers at Argent I often serve as both a Web Developer and Web Architect, tapping my years of experience with Web Technologies to formulate a solution to the problem at hand. Often I serve as the point of contact for the initiation of new web projects due to my understanding of the full scope of Argent’s web applications.I’m also responsible for ongoing maintenance and support of existing online properties as well as development of new web applications and sites. I routinely interface with J2EE web services and Oracle databases to create powerful applications both internally and externally.

As the companies first Web Developer I was responsible for creating the first intranet as well as taking ownership of the current website which was static HTML and transforming it into a dynamic and powerful ColdFusion MX based website. Providing end users and field personnel an online resource for drivers and other downloads as well as promotional information. I also worked with the rest of the Software Development team implementing video/telecommunications applications across a wide variety or networking platforms.

Develop an online training application used to test roughly 200 new hire employees a month in branch offices nation-wide. Support multiple public facing websites, as well as several intranets, and intranet applications. Designed and developed intranets and applications for internal use. Build new business unit their first website.

I was approached by the client to come in and clean up and continue this project after the initial consultant was unable to provide the level of service and skill required. I cleaned up any existing code and developed a great deal of new code. I also wrote several reports to be run against a SQL database. On this project I worked independently from my home office.

Part of team responsible for developing new IT staffing application. incorporated video streaming, advanced search engine for locating candidates and companies that match specific criteria.Developed an online time tracking application for tracking developer time. Included reporting for management and ability to mark time as capital expense or maintenance. Helped manage team work load and projects based on time requirements.

: Lead developer on Private Capital Group Project; as such I was responsible for dividing up work among the other members of the development team assigned to this particular project and working alongside to the Project Managers.
