About John Williamson

I am a Designer.In my professional career I’ve gone from simple visual design to complex strategic and tactical design for products and services.I help companies connect their products and services in a coherent and deferential way with all their stakeholders. I design, develop and integrate the strategies with which companies’ products and services reach their audiences and goals.I have spent the past 20 years in digital design. My main area of activity is Strategy and Design solutions. Be it in Brand, Customer Experience or Marketing, I call on all the skills I've acquired over the years to make transformation projects happen. Particularly relevant are all the entrepreneurial skills I gained as the founder of branding consultancy Agencia YOU.I’m currently founder and creative director at Agencia YOU in MadridIn 2015 I founded Agencia YOU to bring my Brand User Experience methodology to market.In 2016 I co-founded "Brand The Gap", a Madrid based Branding community, to bring new Branding trends and ideas by organising monthly events.With over 20 years professional experience, I have worked in the following areas:· Digital Products and Services: strategy, data analysis, communications and notifications, liaising with external providers, ux/ui design improvements and version quality control.· Branding: strategy, creation, promotion and activation· User Experience: research, analysis, ideation, deployment, follow-upMost of my recent experience is for the financial retail sector having worked on projects for BBVA, Santander, Bankia and Bankinter. I've taken on projects for clients such as Telefónica, McDonald’s, Ikea, Carrefour and Heinz and have developed assignments in Spain, Portugal, UK, Russia and Singapore.I've worked for international companies such as IconMedialab, Vogue Magazine, The Marketing Store and Sopra Steria as well as prestigious Spanish agencies like Estudio Oscar Mariné and Tau Diseño.I’ve given conferences on Brand User Experience for Campus Madrid (Tech-hub/Google), UX Academy and Interactive Design case studies for the Pompeu i Fabra University in Barcelona.I enjoy teaching and have done so for the Carlos III University of Madrid Master's Degree in Advertising Communication . I have also taught at the IED Madrid (Istituto Europeo di Design), the Interactive Advertising Bureau (WholeSocial-IAB, Madrid) and the Madrid School of Marketing.Awards are great such as the one I received from ID Magazine’s Interactive Design Awards for the Vega Sicilia websites.I ride my bicycles and play in New Wave bands
