As a technical co-founder and head of platform development for Atom Payroll, a technology startup which offers both enterprise solution for medium to large clients and SAAS solution for small business, I’m responsible for entire technology strategy including design, development, and deployment of Atom’s global payroll platform to scalable cloud architecture. In addition, I play a major role in creating product roadmap by working closely with the Managing Director and SMEs and design a scalable solution that leads to increased customer acquisition and satisfaction. Besides, I’m also responsible for giving technical and product presentations to potential clients and investors.

As part of Intuit’s global platform engineering organization, managed the software engineering team based in Singapore responsible for building payroll platform API for payroll component in Intuit’s cloud-based software suit QuickBooks. Additionally, the Singapore engineering team was also responsible for building a scalable, high-performance framework and tooling for automating compliance verification. The framework, a Java-based solution comprises of Cucumber DSL scenario library and a back-end framework to make HTTP based REST-Assured call to payroll platform API and performs verification. The role required close collaboration with various global teams in the engineering, compliance and product team to move the engineering team in a unified direction and with a common vision.

The Cloud-hosted application was built on Grails platform using Groovy programming language and incorporated various open-source technologies such as Java, Grails, Groovy, Hibernate, Spring, MySQL, Tomcat.
