Currently I am the tech lead for a technology refresh for the Bureau of Trust Fund Administration (BTFA). The project involves replacing a legacy COTS records management system with a new, cloud based web application on Azure. The tech stack being used is React, Dotnet Core, Azure SQL Server and all containerized in Docker, running as an App Service in Azure.

Worked on the technology refresh of the APHIS Animal Disease Traceability system. Initially hired as a .Net Core developer. After three months, I assumed the role of DevOps Engineer and Technical Lead on a team of 5 developers. I was responsible completely rebuilding the AKS environment from the ground up, including DevOps CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration.

Managed a team of 17 developers for a $7 million annual government contract to create the Oil & Gas permitting system for the Bureau of Land Management. The front end is written in AngularJS/Bootstrap and it interfaces to Java JAX-RS webservices. In addition, I was also the Technical Manager and Lead Developer for three additional government contracts that create .NET and Oracle APEX applications to assist federal firefighters.

I started working at Allegion as a .NET Web API 2.0 REST developer creating endpoints for the Schlage IoT enabled locksets. After six months I was promoted to DevOps/Release Manager responsible for managing six SaaS Azure load balanced environments to support the REST API used by iOS and Android devices to manage and control locksets.

At Zidea, I was the Senior Developer and DBA for a private hedge fund. I wrote C++ Windows services to capture real-time market data that persisted to a SQL Server database. This data was then used to create real-time stock market graphs using Coldfusion and Adobe FLEX that were used by the traders to assist in their daily trading activities.

At Sunbelt Software, I started as a Coldfusion Web Developer and won the Employee of the Year award in my first year. I was promoted to Director of IT and managed the infrastructure for a workforce of 100 employees as well as the R&D network. In addition, I was the Lead Developer for all Intranet applications used by Sunbelt Software.

Cash Management is an industry leader in lockbox processing software for banks. I was a Senior Developer writing C/C++ desktop applications that controlled large check transports reading the MICR from consumer checks. While at Cash Management, I also created their web enabled application for managing data once it had been acquired.

NetPerformance was a regional shared hosting company and boutique web development firm. I was the Lead Developer on all of the Intranet applications and Director of Web Development managing a team of eight web developers that created cutting edge internet presence websites for customers.
