Calibration Technician C
Calibrated and repaired a wide variety of Inspection, Measurement, and Test equipment in laboratory, field, and on-site environments for a commercial customer-service calibration company, providing calibration services to the Aerospace, Defense, Pharmaceutical, and Biomedical Device industies. Applied knowledge of measurement science to calibrate, diagnose, and repair laboratory and field equipment in the Physical Dimensional, Mechanical, Optical, Thermodynamic, DC/Low Frequency, and Time disciplines. Calibrated a very wide range of equipment, including multimeters, power supplies, oscilloscopes, timers/clocks, thermometers, hygrometers, thermocouples, torque devices, pressure gages, scales/balances, pH meters, conductivity meters, force gages, plug gages, threaded plug gages, ring gages, thread ring gages, micrometers, calibers, dial/digital indicators, mu checkers, height gages, squares, surface plates, optical comparators, ovens/environmental chambers, dimensional inspection items, etc. Lead the Mechanical/Dimensional section of the lab, triaged incoming customer equipment, prioritizing based on customer-needs and lab standard availability. Maintained lab standards, calibrated standards within our capability and scheduling transfer of higher-level standards to other labs. Performed all calibrations in accordance with company S.O.P.s, calibration procedures, federal guidelines, and customer-drawings. Provided prompt and accurate documentation for all work performed, including Out Of Tolerance reports, Certificates of Calibration, data sheets, and labels. Coordinated with customers for their on-site calibration needs, including expedited items, specialized items, cost-reduction, and scheduling. Complied with all safety requirements in customers’ facilities, gown-up procedures and documentation per current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), as well as full compliance with ITAR regulations.
