Second in command of Coast Guard High Endurance Cutter responsible for all aspects of 180 person workforce and the management of a $500K+ budget. Responsible for ensuring implementation of and enforcement of command and service-wide human resource, safety, financial, and general management policies. Ship's mission set included search and rescue, counter-narcotics operations, migrant interdiction operations, and enforcement of commercial fisheries regulations.

• Researched and analyzed issues of strategic importance to the CG as part of the Commandant’s “Think Tank” that developed policy for the CG and joint partners that strengthened CG maritime industry ties • Co-wrote the CG, US Navy, and US Marine Corps Cooperative Strategy for 21st Century Seapower which laid the plans for the tri-service maritime strategy to synchronize CG initiatives with parallel Dept. of Defense work and established recurring system for improvements/alignment• Project lead for and lead writer of "Coast Guard Publication 1", the capstone doctrine that described CG principles and culture; managed divergent opinions on content while keeping project timelines on track that resulted in a cohesive system for future improvements• Delivered keynote address at the Georgia Military Academy day hosted by the Georgia Congressional Delegation for 800+ guests that garnered praise from Senator Isakson for motivation and in team success of selecting 30 youth to military academies

USCGC EDISTO. Directed the day to day operations of a national asset and its 20 person workforce. Mission set included Homeland Security Operations, Enforcement of Laws & Treaties, and Search & Rescue operations.

USCGC BOUTWELL. Responsible for coordinating, planning, & executing all aspects of Cutter's operations including oversight of all ship-helicopter operations, navigation, Law Enforcement actions, Homeland Security missions, and Search & Rescue missions. Led a 80 person department serving as the central locus of all aspects of the cutters day to day operations.

USCG Command, Control, and Communications Center. Directed the development of computer based training courses convening 50 times a year - totaling 1000+ students. Managed a 40 person workforce. Proactively managed accounts totaling in excess of $3M. Met all training goals and engineering initiatives to support the fielding of two new classes of government vessels capable of operating in all maritime environments. Member of the engineering post installation training team, ensured the successful utilization of all new engineering systems placed in to field operation,

USCG Tactical Law Enforcement Team North. Led a eight-person Law Enforcement Detachment (LEDET) from the Coast Guard's Tactical Law Enforcement Team North based at Miami, FL. Team deployed over 200 days per year on U.S. Naval and NATO ships to the Caribbean Basin & Eastern Pacific Ocean to conduct law enforcement operations, primarily counter-narcotics missions off the coasts of South America, Central America, and Mexico. Liaised with foreign partner militaries/law enforcement agencies and domestic (federal and local) law enforcement agencies to carry out operations and joint training alike.

USCGC MUNRO. Deck Watch Officer. Responsible for the safe operation of a 378 foot Coast Guard Cutter. Combat Information Center Officer: Led a 12 person division and managed $100K budget. Gunnery Officer: Led a 5 person division responsible for the operation and functionality of the ship's various weapons system.
