Sometimes it’s easy to get caught up in our own individual duties or tasks, losing sight of the greater picture. But if we strive to better understand each other’s goals and work together to get the best results possible, then we effectively contribute to team and company success. Three of the most important elements that help with this process are collaboration, communication and support. In my role as Senior Director of Quality, I am responsible for assurance of integrity and performance of products across all our brands – whether assembly occurs in our factories, or the component source is within our international supply base. As a member of the executive leadership team, I am also responsible for our Delta China team of 165 professionals and technicians.In working with teams and corporate partners, I emphasize collaboration, looking for value and strengths in others. Diversity of thought in the room can unlock ideas that weren’t seen before. It’s thrilling when teams work together to solve challenging problems and accomplish things that add value to our customers, employees and shareholders. I also strive to be a good communicator, which includes both listening and articulating well. Noticing the fine points and details of an issue or topic helps get to the heart of what really matters. My intent is to be a deep encourager – to notice and care for colleagues while contributing to the spirit of helping each other, which is so prevalent at Delta. Cultivating an atmosphere that promotes positive thinking and personal growth is a key part of our company’s identity.Outside the office, my passions include being outdoors with my family, sailing, and more frequently, biking. I thrive on accomplishing difficult challenges that require my own power, but are at the mercy of the elements and terrain. To cross that finish line is one of the best feelings in the world.
