As an attorney at Rouse Frets White Goss Gentile & Rhodes, P.C., I practice a wide variety of litigation. I have extensive experience in medical malpractice cases defending hospitals, physicians, and nurses from claims of medical negligence. I also have experience in commercial litigation, labor and employment, general civil litigation, higher education law and appellate work. Since joining the firm in 2007, I have obtained litigation and trial experience in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Kansas. I have successfully tried multiple cases to verdict. I was also a member of the trial team that defended a labor and delivery nurse in a birth injury case that resulted in one of the largest defense verdicts in Missouri in 2019. I have also prepared numerous appeal briefs and successfully argued appeals in the Missouri Court of Appeals, the Kansas Court of Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Kansas in 2004, graduating with Departmental Honors in History. I graduated Cum Laude from the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law in 2007. While in law school, I was an Articles & Symposia Editor for the UMKC Law Review, a staff member on The Urban Lawyer, a member of both the UMKC and ABA National Moot Court teams, served as a research assistant to Professor Robert Klonoff, and received numerous awards for academic excellence. While in law school, I also spent a summer semester studying law in Ireland. While in law school, I was also lucky enough to meet the woman who would go on to become my wife in a first-year law school property class.I live in Overland Park, Kansas with my wife and four children. Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with my family, reading, and watching the Jayhawks and Chiefs. I am also an active member of Curé of Ars Catholic Church.
