Responsible for marketing of strategic mobile solutions on the Windows Phone platform for both consumer and business.Planned and delivered Microsoft Windows Phone Applications showcase. Researched and selected top ISV’s, created marketing support tools such as showcase solution guides, channel support tools and dynamic online content.

Instrumental in setting up and successfully growing the Microsoft Windows Mobile Developer Ecosystem in EMEA. Driving evangelism and marketing of the Windows Mobile platform developer tools and technologies throughout the EMEA region to thousands of developers and partners across the region.• Produced and led programmes for the Windows Mobile developer community that culminated in delivery of hundreds of completed and certified EMEA applications to the global Microsoft Mobile2Market solutions catalogue.• Overall responsibility for the delivery of large scale events in Europe over six years. Involving management of virtual teams consisting of vendors, cross functional team members, developers, trainers, promotion, branding, PR plans, marketing tools and financials. • Drove development and timely delivery of developer focused content for the highly successful Learn247 series of developer multimedia training DVDs. The DVDs being released to over 800,000 developers in 40 countries worldwide.• Managed a small technical team ranging from one to two developer consultants.

At a technical level developed and ran programmes for ISV’s to deliver compelling applications on the Microsoft Mobile platform integrating into the EMEA Mobile Devices Division’s marketing initiatives for new product launches and Operator engagements.

Engaged with key ISV’s to develop and deliver industry leading retail applications for the Windows platform. One example of this resulted in a large scale successful customer win at the German retailer Metro for Siemens Nixdorf.

Designed and implemented high-end laser printer software using Sun’s CORBA compliant Distributed Object Environment (NEO, formally known as DOE). The analysis and design of customer requirements was captured using Booch 93 / Rational Rose tool and code developed in C++. Also played a key role in the development of system GUI-based problem solving tools, which were implemented in Java.Responsibilities included planning full project lifecycle and delivery of quality software (SEI level 2 standard) to aggressive schedules, based either locally or at the customer site in California, USA.
