I retired from Pfizer as Group President & Chief Business Officer at the end of June 2022 after almost 35 years of service.As a member of the company’s Executive Leadership Team I latterly led a division that integrated all Strategy, Consulting, Business Development, Business Assessment, Portfolio & Decision Analysis, and the Patient & Health Impact reimbursement and access team.Prior to this role, I was the Group President of Pfizer Innovative Health, which comprised six global business units: Internal Medicine, Inflammation & Immunology, Oncology, Rare Disease, Vaccines and Consumer Healthcare; each business unit focused on discovering and developing innovative medicines and vaccines to make a meaningful difference to patients impacted by diseases with significant unmet need. Previously, I was the Group President for Pfizer Essential Health where I oversaw a broad portfolio of more than 600 products with a global reach in 160 countries. A scientist by training, I had 35 years of experience with Pfizer and held a number of senior positions across the organization.I am a member of the Board of Directors of Novartis AG (NVTS), Johnson Controls International (JCI), Arvinas Inc (ARVN). I previously served on the Boards of Haleon PLC, Imbria Pharmaceuticals and BIO (Biotechnology Innovation Organization) and as a member of the UK Government bioscience working group, The Life Sciences Council.I hold a BSc in Biological Science from Glasgow University and an MBA from Strathclyde Graduate Business School. I am married with three daughters.
