I am a multifaceted, intellectually curious learner passionate about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and dedicated to creating positive change in the workplace and the community. I firmly believe that diverse and inclusive environments foster creativity, innovation, and growth for individuals and organizations alike.Through my involvement with Her Campus Vanderbilt (President), Black Girl Fest (Chair), and the Mu Rho Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. (Parliamentarian), I have had the distinct honor of witnessing and contributing to the transformative power of embracing diversity and promoting equitable practices. I aim to contribute to a world where every voice is heard, valued, and celebrated, regardless of background or identity.While attending Vanderbilt University, I studied Medicine, Health, and Society with a concentration in Health Policies and Economies and a double minor in Human and Organizational Development and Psychology. I have found that numerous health disparities are a direct result of the lack of a diverse and inclusive healthcare system and that DEI is imperative to the functionality of any organization. This is why I have actively sought opportunities throughout my college career to champion DEI initiatives, collaborating with teams to develop inclusive events and activities. I have also worked with the Bishop Joseph Johnson Black Cultural Center to address systemic barriers and promote a more inclusive environment on campus.Continuous learning is crucial in the ever-evolving landscape of DEI, and I am committed to staying informed about best practices and emerging trends. I am always eager to engage in meaningful discussions and learn from fellow professionals who share my passion for diversity and inclusion.
