As a College Success Specialist with the SEED Foundation I managed caseload of approximately 70 graduates of the SEED School of Washington, DC. I developed action plans and maintained extensive contact with graduates via social media, in-person meetings to closely monitor enrollment, transfer, and stop-out rates and to ensure the success of my students. To ensure the success of my students I connected graduates with campus based support resources (e.g. academic advisors, financial aid officers, counseling services) through college outreach visits and creating university partnerships. To evaluate my students need, I conducted regular alumni support advising sessions designed to assist with academic and social college integration process. I tracked all alumni interactions, level of performance and support needed, and submit reporting. I served as a financial aid resource by: (1) assisting with the application process, (2) reviewing award letters, (3) interfacing with financial aid representatives, and (4) monitoring need for emergency financial support. Lastly, I provided support to students interested in or needing to re-enroll in college/alternative post-secondary programming, transfer to a different institution.Working with the community and schools, I served as liaison for community-based college access partners, key university administrators, practitioners, and government agencies throughout the region. Additionally, I served as the Transition Programming specialist in which I was responsible for the development and implementation of transition programming from high school to college. Subsequently, I supported high school senior transition and collaborative student support efforts. Lastly, I organized yearly multi-day event that provided workshops and exercises for personal, financial, and professional development of college and college-bound students I coordinated logistics, travel, and volunteer staffing for the event.

As a College Counselor at Perspectives Charter Schools I was responsible for all aspects of college and career advising process for student body of 500. I created and maintained college bound culture through developing, revising, and administering a college prep course curriculum.As College Counselor I advised senior students and families regarding college choices and application process I organized workshops for students and families regarding financial aid and college research. I tracked students college admissions decisions and scholarship data for Board of Trustees and investors, and researched up-to-date information on college admission trends and scholarship procedures.As the registrar for the school, maintained records and transcripts for all students and informed students of curricular options; particularly those in need of credit recovery, academic and personal counseling. Additionally, I served as the standardized testing administrator for school, and my duties included: planning testing schedule, ordering testing materials, training staff, collecting data, and disseminating information. 

As the Student Coordinator I was responsible for recruiting over 300 students at various schools, recreation centers, and community based organization in Washington, DC area. I developed interactive recruitment presentation to introduce students, parents, and school faculty to the organization, and designed interview and training program for student recruits. In the '07 Fiscal Year I matched 115 students with mentors increasing case load 15% from previous Fiscal Year. Lastly, I managed case load of mentoring pairs helping to ensure match health and provide necessary support. I also planned, coordinated, and staffed monthly enrichment activities for program pairs, including sporting events, plays, educational opportunities, and annual Career Exploration Day. In my role I organized and managed scholarship program for the organization including designing the scholarship application and document collection for payment distribution. Additionally, I implemented and facilitated a bi-weekly program and workshops to 12th grade students to guide students thorough the college application process including essay drafting and editing, scholarships, understanding FASFA, and preparing for life after high school.  
