I graduated from Chapman University with a major in Creative Writing and a minor in Honors. I had the privilege to co-teach Honors Forum, a class required of all first year Honors students, and served on the Honors Board on and off since my first year of college. Though I find passion in all genres of literature, my favorite is speculative fiction—so much so that I held the position of editor-in-chief of Chapman’s speculative fiction magazine, Ouroboros, during my senior year. Additionally, I married my passion for writing and music by writing articles for The Collective, a group of local artists within the Chapman community. My interests outside of school include social justice, and for the past eight years I have volunteered with the Spirit Awakening Foundation, which works with homeless, foster, and incarcerated youth. I began working as an Outreach Coordinator for them while still in my last semester of school but ultimately decided to pursue writing full time.
