An Artist Manager works on behalf of groups or artists to promote the artists' careers and run their business affairs. Their job is to secure the best work for their clients, for the best fee.The job may include: negotiating contracts and fees, finding and booking events and venues that match the artist's career strategy, advising on career decisions, publicity and promotion, helping them on career decisions such as which record producer to work with, or which songs to perform, and managing media relations on their behalf.The Artist Manager's work is very competitive and can be intense and sometimes stressful with long hours. Artist Managers are frequently required to attend their artists' performances in the evening or over weekends.Most Artist Managers advance by building a strong reputation for good client services, and attracting more top performers onto their books.Artist Managers may represent a roster of artists, and cultivate relationships with relevant industry decision makers on their behalf. They will negotiate deals, and support and guide their clients' careers.Artist Managers must keep up to date with what's happening in the industry, and they will spend a lot of time establishing and maintaining relationships, using contacts to source work for their clients. They will also promote their clients' work, and will often be involved in liaison during the music recording process. They may also organise and negotiate contracts for release and publishing, and they communicate with the press. Industry experience and knowledge is the key to becoming an Artist Manager. No specific qualifications are required, but a business background is useful, especially in sales. The main qualification is a sound knowledge of the music business and current trends and the ability to develop and maintain a range of industry contacts, requiring good judgment, which is acquired through experience by working in the role.

Assistant Events Manager is to plan and execute events that fulfill Premier’s objectives. The role is very dynamic, incorporating a wide variety of tasks and event types. Working to deadlines, planning and project management will be a common feature of work to ensure events run well. There is a strong people-focused element to this role by virtue of liaising with event contributors, venues, suppliers, partners etc. On the day of an event, problem-solving, creativity and determination all play their part in making an event successful. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Event concept creation, e.g. themes, message, purpose• Identification and booking of all contributors, e.g. preachers and worship leaders• Liaising with speakers, performers, venues and other suppliers so that all elements for an event are properly booked, organised and accounted for.• Project planning for each event, including budgeting. Monitoring against plan, including ticket sales.• Management and oversight of event ticketing arrangements.• Organisation of all materials needed to be shipped to an event in good time, working with the Marketing Assistant.• Ensuring all events are properly staffed, with Marketing Assistant.• Ensure all PA and Audio Visual elements e.g Song Words are created and tested in advance of the event.• On the day of an event, to lead the team on the ground for event setup• Working across departments with Content, Sales, Fundraising and the Executive to ensure all Premier objectives are achieved.• Create a post event evaluation report, for the Marketing team, finance team and Executive.• Building of own skills and competences for implementing marketing projects
