Results-driven and excellent at leading on collaborative projects.With twenty years editorial experience as a Director of News at Newstalk, I have driven the strategic development of the business through creative and innovative contract negotiations with third-party services. I also helped Newstalk win a national broadcasting licence, develop it into a nationwide brand and evolve into a multi platform content provider. I managed the coordination of all major news events and was responsible for General election output from every count centre in the country on the three of the last four occasions in 2007, 2011 and 2016.As a focused and astute business leader with a record of building high calibre teams, I negotiated, managed and secured a contract to supply a national and international news service to every commercial radio brand in Ireland and partnered with NPR, Sky News and LBC for international news events.
