I am a Senior Environmental Engineering Major at West Texas A&M University. I am currently planning on graduating in May 2023, and will be taking my FE exam around that time as well. Skills include:- Organization- GIS software- AutoCAD- Design- Microsoft Excel SpreadsheetsExperience:I have had the privilege to work on a research project in Aquaponics Urban Farming. Using Excel along with my knowledge of water resources and fluid mechanics, I was able to design and implement this system in collaboration with the High Plain Water District and Amarillo College here in Amarillo, Texas. Aquaponics is defined as the utilization of fish waste to fertilize hydroponically grown plants. Once the water is filtered through the plants, it is then recycled back to the fish for the process to start all over again.I am also gaining experience in designing a septic system with my fellow classmates for RockOne Realty here in Amarillo. The experience so far has taught me about compliance and safety aspects of design along with teamwork, communication, and real world experience especially with pleasing a client. We have not completed the design yet, but it has been an eye opener and a real treat to be working on this project for the remainder of the semester.I have also worked as a Brand Lead for a company called Forever 21. I had been working for this company for 4 years as of August. The company has taught me a lot about growth in a workplace environment, and how to take on leadership roles as time went on. This role may not be a engineering related field, but it has definitely shaped who I am as a person and who I am in stressful situations with customer concerns. Patience, taking on challenges, asking hard questions, and communication are skills that I have obtained and implemented any time I work or have school.
