Josée is VP Western Canada Business Development for Farm Lending Canada. She is responsible for attracting agricultural borrowers who are seeking alternative lending in the West to Farm Lending Canada as well as potential investors to the AgriRoots Diversified Lending Fund. She is interested in connecting with lenders, consultants, accountants, wealth planners and farmers!She kicked off her consulting career in 1999 at MNP LLP and left her role as Manager in 2005 when she joined Encore Business Solutions as Strategy Leader and Vice President of Business Development, leading the launch of a procurement software program developed for the ethanol industry. In 2008, Josée founded Pivot Performance, a management consulting company specializing in strategic planning and facilitation until she merged with Backswath in August 2019. In August of 2024, Josée stepped away from Backswath to embark on new adventures, with a desire to remain in the agricultural industry. Josée is a Certified Management Consultant, has completed a Bachelor of Commerce Honours in International Business from the Asper School of Business, including a semester abroad at the Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil. She has a Bachelor of Arts in French and Spanish from University of Manitoba and she in Lisbon, Portugal for a year in 1990-1991. Josée is the Past- President for the Institute of Certified Management Consultants of Manitoba and Co-Chair of the Joint Services Committee with CMC Canada. She has held Board positions with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (2011-2015) during which she was a member of the Resources Committee responsible for finance and human resources. Josée was President of the Board of the Festival du Voyageur from 2002-2004. Josée has also been Executive Director of a community foundation called Francofonds from 2008 – 2012. Josée is a mother of two children and stepmother to two more. She stays active walking, cross-country skiing, reading, cooking, sipping on wine and eating dark chocolate. She golfs when she can and takes every opportunity she can to get away and explore new parts of the country and the world.
