Hi, from an early age, I have always been attracted to anything related to art, such as: drawing, making handmade gifts from scratch that are so odd shaped that I can't even fit it into a wrapping bag, going to museums to just look at the artefacts, trying to create a prototype to help my mum keep track of the expiration dates of the bread she bought, and more.I haven't always followed my heart during the later stage of my education, which led me to take the conventional route in my university degree, Business Management, as it only seemed practical to my career choice. I guess it was unavoidable for me to listen to my heart and values to pursue something related to the creative industry. My first job as a digital marketer for a logistics company taught me the right mentality that I needed, to adapt and be flexible especially in a fast paced industry. Learning how to create marketing materials efficiently while ensuring that it is easily understandable by clients, really allowed me to brush up my designing and communicative skills. Always curious about how our clients think, trying to understand what are their needs and wants, being motivated to create marketing collaterals that are useful, I started to explore the areas of UX/UI design through the Academy Xi bootcamp. I fell in love with what I was learning and the process of understanding the users which later translates into creating a product that is usable and useful really sparked something in me. I am now a UX/UI designer and am on the journey to gain the experience and pick up the skills that I need. I really love listening to user's feedback and frustrations about their daily lives as it provides a chance to connect with more people, almost like a therapist. But of course, our remedy here is to create solutions to help solve their problems, the best way to spend my time and reduce the stress for others. This, paired with my love for design, motivates me to be present and enjoy life!On days that I feel like doing something different, I spend time with my dogs, go for a hike or go to a bookshop to enjoy the smell of books and read of course. I played volleyball for 14 years and love being a team player and compete together towards the same goal of winning.
