Training new employees and staff on our payroll system and payroll practices and issues. Researching and creating documentation and presentations for on-going staff trainings, troubleshooting, system support, and developing training videos and upcoming self-paced trainings.

Assisting clients with their payroll needs via phone, fax and email for a base of 200+ clients. Resolved payroll errors and provided solutions for out of the normal requests. Mentored new payroll specialists until they were able to handle accounts on their own. Ensured timely submission of clients payrolls and verified for accuracy, making sure to confirm anything I felt was questionable.

Ensured accurate and timely payroll for 43 employees in a union environment. Verified drivers were within DOT guidelines including verifying driver logs and physicals. Created and submitted delivery reports for customer and customized reporting to the clients needs. Maintained timely payment of vendor invoices including proper cost center/account management. Worked within the structure of a union contract to ensure our practices were within contract. Scheduled equipment for routine maintenance and procuring replacement equipment to avoid shortage. Found solutions/replacements for out-of-hours drivers to ensure deliveries were still made and drivers stayed compliant.

Handled general office administrative functions, as well as bookkeeping and all payroll and HR functions (manually). This was before computers so everything was done with a pencil or typewriter and a 10-key calculator!!
