As the Lead ER APP at US Acute Care Solutions, I manage a team of nurse practitioners and physician assistants who provide high-quality and patient-centered care in a high-volume and high-acuity ER setting. I collaborate with ER physicians, nurses, and technicians to assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions, from trauma and cardiac arrest to infections and chronic diseases. I also ensure compliance with quality standards, policies, and protocols, and mentor and train new and existing staff.I have over 20 years of experience in ER nursing and advanced practice, as well as in ICU and labor and delivery nursing. These experiences have enhanced my skills and knowledge in critical care and women's health, and helped me develop strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities. I am currently pursuing an MBA degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, with the goal of gaining more insights and skills in the business and management aspects of health care. I am passionate about improving the quality, efficiency, and accessibility of health care services, especially for underserved and vulnerable populations.
