My career decisions have always been based on one thing: To serve and add value to someone else. My background in psychology and counselling led me to the social service sector where I worked for 9.5 years as a professional counsellor, administrator, a starter of new projects and a MSF-approved marriage preparation facilitator. In those roles, I've honed my skills in counselling and facilitation, leading small groups and training. My ability to handle multiple tasks, look after details and manage people have enabled me to run training and fund raising events smoothly for my organisation. Currently, I'm a Career Advisor at NUS and appreciating the privilege of journeying alongside countless students as they navigate towards the big world of work after graduation. It is a joy for me to witness students who were once lost, to be able to find their footing. I continue to place empathy and integrity as my core values and hope to make a positive difference to as many people as possible.
