At a very young age I developed a passion for working with livestock and in agriculture; I knew I would follow that passion. In 1994 I started out with a small herd of cattle, under my own name and now I own Nash Cattle Company, LLC which is a full time ranch. During the process of building my ranch I started working for Cason Timber Company out of Coushatta, LA. While working with the timber company I was able to get a better understanding of the forestry industry. After 2 years I decided it was time to venture out on my own, and in 1997 I started Reforestation Unlimited Inc. Reforestation Unlimited traveled throughout the state of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas and we eventually expanded our reach to the Northern states, forming Reforestation Unlimited –North Carolina. While the ranch was thriving and the timber company was on the move I was always looking the next opportunity. In 2002 I began the process of purchasing and leasing property to either plant row crops or extend my cattle operation; I settled on row crops and planted my first wheat crop in 2004. Through the years I have grown into diversified farmer growing wheat, soybeans, corn and cotton. In 2010 I found myself being away from home more then I liked, so after almost 13 years on the road I decided to shut down Reforestation Unlimited. Only having the cattle and the row crops left to tend to I found myself idle, so in 2012 I purchased the Natchitoches Turf Farm and in 2013 I expanded my cattle operations South and in the same exchange picked up pecan orchards in Magnolia, Louisiana. A large portion of my success is credited to the banking institutions that believed in me, my business partners, my family, friends, & landlords. To be a successful business person you have to be encouraged, so to every person that picked up the phone, that shook my hand, gave me a pat on the back or a tip of their hat I say “thank you”!
