As an organization less than a year old, I worked at Foundation for Puerto Rico to create a sustainable development program in order to secure the organization's future. I built a comprehensive development plan, wrote a gift acceptance policy ratified by the board, and designed fundraising processes to be incorporated throughout the organization. In our first year of fundraising, I helped raise more than $210,000 from corporations, government grants and individuals.

I served in a short-term role, working in the annual giving department to help close out their annual campaign. I also helped coordinate and run a major donor networking event.

My main responsibilities include the planning, design, implementation and follow-up for every annual giving solicitation piece produced. In addition to these duties, I am in charge of stewarding current and potential major donors as well as maintaining the Donor Perfect database. I also enjoy working with a variety of community leaders on projects such as our hugely successful Sukkah City STL event in October 2011. I am involved in all aspects of St. Louis Hillel's social media outreach, including running the Twitter account.

I was brought in to build from scratch SIUE's new on campus call center. I designed everything from the training and hiring procedures, to the pay structure and call schedule. I also implemented the first, university wide, comprehensive annual giving solicitation calendar. I worked with the Director of Annual Giving to write and produce successful direct mail pieces and I served as the main adviser for the Parents Association and Student Foundation.

I served as a consultant for Procura helping them launch a capital campaign, migrate to a new donor database, and write language for their call scripts and mailings.

I was in charge of the cultivation and solicitation of annual donors up to the $50,000 level. I partnered with Development Officers around the university to effectively cultivate annual donors. By the end of my first year, I was in the top 5 in visits by development officers within the Indiana University system, finishing with more than 180 personal visits that year.

I managed a 48 station call center with 200+ employees and 5 managers. We raised $4+ million/year while maintaining the best fundraising practices and providing wonderful alumni experiences.
