Customer dispute resolution was key to support the team of front of house staff, ensuring that challenging customers where satisfied.I transferred to the sister site, Oscar’s Wine Bar & Bistro to fill a gap in the management team. My role as interim restaurant manager required adapting my management style to a more intimate venue, and less independent team of staff.Balancing cost of labour with daily revenue and maximising both where possible.Training and supporting new staff members.

July - September ‘22: supporting the producing team during pre-production and running.January - April ‘23: supporting the restructuring and strategy to make a second season at Kew Gardens viable for a charity without regular funding (Sixteenfeet.)*Supporting the production of Theatre on Kew: Two productions at Kew Gardens across July and August (Twelfth Night & The Jungle Book).*Organising an off-site for Board of Charity, facilitating sections of a strategy meeting for future season.*Communicating regularly with the events team at Kew Gardens to maintain the strong relationship I had build during the 2022 season, planning for 2023 season and negotiating to receive as much support from them as possible.*Training and maintaining standards for front of house team. Hiring, training of team including Front of House Manager. Stock management, scheduling and improving merchandise sales.*Supporting marketing and press teams, maximising our local reach and social media presence through content creation. Sourcing & hiring freelance filmmaker and photographer, preparing a brief and managing delivery of trailer. Managing a team of production assistants.*Organising press performances: inviting guests, sourcing guest bar & press bar, ensuring the event ran smoothly and best presented the production.*Securing advertising partners for the show programmes.

Organised an off-site event (a key moment bringing the team together with stakeholders in a complete virtual working environment) where the team could carry out market research and build relations with key stakeholders (property developers in the North East.) Organised further virtual and in-person events to enhance the team morale in a virtual working environment through the pandemic.Working as an executive assistant to the CEO during a key period of raising capital. Liaising with potential investors of up to £1M. Managing executive diaries and scheduling meetings. Working with the GBB team to improve the hiring and onboarding process and as general support on their journey to become a regulated bank (October 2021).Sourcing and designing branded merchandise including water bottles and hoodies according to a strict brief.

During one of the Lockdowns I decided to create my own business up-cycling wine bottles into luxury candles. Over a course of 6 months I taught myself how to cut and polish the wine bottles to create containers, designed my scents and luxury candles. The end result was a profitable small business (and a lot of free candles!) Through this experience I learnt the basics of building a business and brand as well as the requirements to scale it to meet demands. Onboarding marketing support to create and maintain brand standards and vision.
