Principle role: overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a rural estate in Oxfordshire and a large commercial property portfolio in central London within the ownership of one family. I have been involved in advising my client on the strategy of its rural holdings and have overseen and submitted planning applications and applications under Permitted Development Rights (PDR) for residential development, and the major refurbishment of a Grade II-listed property. I have dealt with landlord and tenant issues including leases, rent reviews (including Farm Business Tenancies, AHAs and residential), Basic Payment Scheme applications, NVZ regulations cross compliance and implemented a new Environmental Stewardship (Entry Level Stewardship) agreement. I have worked closely with contractors, including undertaking a number of contractor service agreement tenders. I have been responsible for the day-to-day aspects of health and safety on both estates, including ensuring current regulation compliance and achieving an Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) Managing Safety Certificate.
