I'm a 27-year-old graduate who recently earned his Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science!In high school, one of my favorite subjects was biology. I was amazed about the human body's complexity. A motivating quote a teacher gave was, "You and each cell in your body have a lot in common, including this: a purpose in life." With this interest in biology, I entered college with one goal in mind: to become a nurse.As I took classes at the College of Southern Nevada, I learned that I enjoyed the intricacies of lab work. I also enjoyed working with others to diagnose and solve problems. I discovered that medical laboratory science (MLS) fit me better than nursing. To consider my choices, I took a break from being a full-time student and worked at Pizza Hut part-time. In 2018, I made the decision to switch from nursing to MLS. Two years later, I successfully entered CSN's limited-entry MLS program and graduated in 2023!
