Research into driver drowsiness detection, and best ways to tackle it using deep learning and computer vision. Models explored are Google's EfficientNetV2 and BlazeFace. Outcomes include an OpenCV prototype, a web app [driver dashboard to review alerts during previous driving trips] and a research paper.

Research into bringing touch-free gesture-based gaming to modern Android smartphones using computer vision. Outcomes include a working prototype Android app and a research paper.

During the internship, I built a system that detects faces using a ResNet-based Single Shot Detector and then classifies the face based on if a face mask is worn or not, using a fine-tuned MobileNet V2. This project was aimed at ensuring public precaution through the proper use of face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.

My role at Tie-in involved: 1) Designing and prototyping of web and mobile app UI in Adobe XD2) Industry 4.0 tech-research for potential features that can be incorporated into the app
