2007 Riverslea Farm employed me to do there Night Watch and Foaling. My duties included.Monitoring broodmares, new born foals and foaling. Due to the Equine Influenza outbreak the propertywas quarantined there income was dramatically reduced and I was retrenched.

For 12 months I worked for Melanie Fleming, on her Natural Horsemanship property and horsetraining centre North of Tamworth. I performed a variety of duties, which included cooking, andcatering for up to 20 people for a week at a time to horse care and feeding to tractor driving and farmmaintenance. I had a lot of responsibility and had to work unsupervised.

From 2002-2006 I worked as a Saturday Vet Assistant at Hawkesbury Equine Veterinary Centreformerly known as Parbery & Robson. My responsibilities included. Cleaning and maintenance ofstable block , day yards, assisting vets with treatments, assisting with surgery preparation, assistingwith semen collection, and AI of mares , follicle checking , cleaning after veterinary proceduresincluding the disposal of surgical remains and assistance in post mortem. Replacement of generalsurgical equipment to the treatment area. Animal identification and recording. Monitor patient’scondition and progress. Greet clients and patients and treat with empathy and confidentiality.

From 1998 – 2001 I worked after school and school holidays at Tathren Stud a Riding School ownedby Catherine Brown and Tony Drew. My responsibilities included:- Cleaning of Stableblock, day yards,grooming, watering and feeding, assistance with veterinary procedures,handling and weaning of foals,assistance with farrier and ongoing foot health and treatment, preparation of horses for client lessons,training sessions with junior stable hands,maintenance and cleaning of tack, preparation of showhorses, customer liaison prior to and after riding lessons.
