My background has covered multiple sectors such as Local Government, Community Health, Corporate and Not for Profit. Within these sectors I have provided leadership, developed strong networks and strategic partnerships to achieve greater outcomes for all members of our community, including people with disabilities. I am passionate about community inclusion, the strengths of individuals, families, networks and communities. I believe communities are stronger when all members are included and can contribute. I am grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside individuals and to see the impact on them and their families when they participate fully in employment. My previous experience has included a focus on community development, health promotion, education, business engagement and evaluation. Established and Coordinated the Building Equitable Employment network, bringing together individuals and organisations working towards inclusive employment for people with disabilities. I have been a board member of Belonging Matters for 4 years, a small not for profit that delivers programs that inspire and build the knowledge of people with a disability, their families and allies to enable people with a disability to have opportunities and pathways typical of other citizens in the community. I volunteer as a Microboard member and on a circle of support, working alongside a young women to achieve her goals and access the good things in life.
