After an Assistant Professor stint at the University of Mississippi, I moved to the University of South Florida, where I developed most of my chemistry in the area of asymmetric organocatalysis with chiral phosphoric acids and the metal complexes of chiral phosphate ligands. I moved up the ranks to full Professor before departing for China, where I again worked in these areas as a Professor of Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences at Tianjin University in a program completely in English. After a brief sting in Zhejiang province I have now returned to the United States. After a brief Visiting Professor role at Lehigh University, I will start as the Chair of Chemistry and Physics at LSU Shreveport on July 1st.
