I joined the company in 2016 to head up the Customer Care department which offers our clients a solution to issues they are encountering. This can include, but not exhaustive; issues with lawns, planting, open spaces, fencing and where required an independent consultancy service can be provided. In January 2018 I took over our Sales & Estimating team. With my strong horticultural knowledge and client relationship building I aim to offer a ‘best in industry service’.Managing our clients relationships at all levels within our clients organisations ensures a fast turnaround in quotes and tenders and I am always happy to meet on site to discuss the work required and to advise/suggest ideas to achieve the most impact.

With a wealth of theory and practical knowledge gained over years of experience within the horticultural industry an unbiased and constructive report of reported issues will be raised following the arranged appointment with the homeowner.Once the recommended work is authorised a detailed breakdown of the work is provided to the homeowner and all queries answered to ensure the homeowner is at ease with the work that will be carried out. Liaising with clients, homeowners, suppliers and employees throughout the process is paramount to ensure the task is delivered on time and with the minimal disruption to the homeowner.

I manage the two sites on behalf of the landowner where we maintain all the grounds.Other activities include Tree & Shrub Planting, Landscaping, Burial/Grave Preparation, Grass Cutting, Civil & Drainage Work.As part of our contract we also liaise with the local authority, manage the Sales & Marketing of the sites and appoint appropriate contractors to undertake specialist works.

I started out as Assistant Manager of the garden centre and helped occasionally on the hard landscaping supply part of the business. Although I had always enjoyed being outside and working on the 'ground' within the garden centre I found a passion for sales and customer service. I applied for the vacancy for Shop Manager which involved all hard landscaping sales which included the general public, tradesman and business to business. I also ordered a large amount of the stock we held on the 7 acre site and when the decision was made to expand the retail shop to a two storey, 1000sq.m retail shop I lead the project for selecting the product ranges, negotiating purchase price and credit terms and working to a strict budget.I then progressed to Sales Director in 2010 and played a key role in pushing the business towards it goals and targets of reaching a far greater turnover and nett profit. I managed the companies H&S and ensured we were compliant with all current legislation. Understanding seasonal fluctuations in business turnover was paramount on ensuring costs were kept to a minimum and optimising on opportunities to capitalise on seasonal peaks.
