I am worked as a Spiritual Care Coordinator at Gentiva/Kindred Hospice. I visited patients in their homes, ALFs, AFCs, Independent Living, and hospitals to help them with their spiritual needs. I also developed a spiritual Plan of Care with them and their families, participated in interdisciplinary team and employee engagement meetings each week, and filled out visit notes and Comprehensive Spiritual Assessments each visit for current and new patients respectively.

I have one year of experience as a spiritual counselor for seniors in skilled nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, and their own homes. Most of my clients struggled with hopelessness, loneliness, and depression. Together we developed goals to bring about renewed hope, meaning for life, and a purpose for living using their religion, belief system, and/or philosophy of life. This often became a useful tool to promote change and enable my clients to realize their potential. I also performed memorials and funerals and worked with the families to help with their grief before and after their loved one passed away.I also filed my paperwork in a timely manner including treatment plans and visit documentation.

I counseled mostly troubled youths and some adults to successfully deal with such identified problems as poor interpersonal relationships, anger management, and decision-making skills. My success was determined by evidenced-based objectives and goals that were met in a timely fashion. I have used Rational Emotive Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Family Therapy to help clients aged five to forty. My duties included writing progress reports, court reports, treatment plans, and billing reports by their respective deadlines.
