Nanostone researches, develops and manufacturers products for the filtration of water sources in drinking water, industrial, wastewater and desalination businesses. As Product Engineering Manager, my responsibility is to support customers and business development resources with accurate product specifications, technical and quality support such as Customer Complaint and RMA activities. Representing the product and submitting revisions and new filings to regulatory organizations such as UL, NSF and Regulatory 31 (UK). Product improvement and re-design as well as research into next generation design opportunities are also my responsibility. Management of the Waltham Reliability Lab including safety, procurement and the design of fluidic experiments and mechanical experiments round out my realm.

- Manage a group of mechanical and chemical engineers in the pursuit of research and development of new technologies and the development of novel products, while supporting production and legacy products in three manufacturing sites. Mentor and ensure ever increasing technical knowledge through the personal development growth of the team.- Provide leadership and guidance, as a member of the CG R&D Staff, involving leading or participating in project teams focused on products nearing commercialization and business improvement of R&D, as a business unit. - Conduct business development and provide foresight into emerging technologies which will be important to next generation products and plan strategically for research and implementation into launched products through in house and external partners. Key technical contact for strategic supplier relationships in porous membranes, inert vapor coatings and specialized tubing materials.- Provide the vision, strategy and foresight, to discover, develop and commercialize new technologies enabling next generation products new functionalities with SMART capabilities and specific material improvements.

- Lead mechanical engineering resource for new product development for consumable products in HPLC, UPLC, and Prep chromatography and sample preparation devices.- Responsible for research and development, prototyping, concept development, concept verification, product testing, and CAD design of new products.- Work in cross functional teams including Marketing, Chemistry, Column Packing and Manufacturing (both captive and outside sources) to ensure products meet customer needs, price and margin targets- Conceptualize and design any required tooling at both R&D and production scales in order to cost effectively produce new products in either Milford, Taunton and Wexford manufacturing plants- Support and troubleshoot issues with new or legacy products in any manufacturing plant or at suppliers.- Find, develop, and maintain business relationships with key industrial partners whose products have a great impact on our products performance and overall business objectives.- Managerial responsibilities include supervising, mentoring, career development, performance reviews and assigning tasks with deadlines for junior engineers and coop students.- Lead development engineer for the following Waters products: Acquity VanGuard Cartridge and 7.8mm SEC HPLC Columns

- Lead development engineer for the following Waters product launches: Optimum Bed Density (OBD) Prep Columns, Acquity Columns, 96 Well uElution Plate, and Acquity VanGuard PreColumn.- Working with Consumable and Instrument teams to conceptualize, design and develop Waters products in cross functional teams.
