This is the story of how a computer science engineer with a master study in digital marketing found his real passion: being a tour guide. Everything started with a trip to Tayrona Park in Colombia. This one night, hearing the sound of the waves from my camping tent, my heart rate started rising and rising and so many thoughts and feelings started moving inside me asking for a change and a new life path. I was being bitten by the most adventurous bug in the world: The travel bug.It took me five more years doing office jobs to really commit and embrace the big change. Without any previous experience, I became a tour guide in Central America, Mexico and Peru. Suddenly, from one day to another, I changed the monthly reports, email backs and forths and the SEO strategies by leading travelers from all over the world in waterfall jumping tours and zip linings in Costa Rica, Mayan sites and volcanoes in Guatemala, Day of the Deaths in Mexico or land border crossings from Nicaragua to El Salvador. By that time I couldn't believe that was my job!After five years where meeting people, living new experiences and adventures and facing every imaginable kinds of situations in the tours in Latin America was my day to day life, I have returned to Bilbao, my hometown in the northern part of Spain, to continue sharing my passion for traveling.Now on the one hand I have the experience of guiding, leading travelers and knowing how to excel it and I on the other hand I have continued developing and putting into profesional practice my digital and online skills oriented to the tourism industry. In conclusion I feel that I have professionally experienced the whole 360 degrees of a tour operation: From designing a new itinerary, to find the providers every providers, be part of the online development of the itineraries and activities (by creating corporate web sites and managing online platforms oriented to travel agencies), to sell proposals directly to clients face to face and lead those activities on the ground. In conclusion, I'm ready to face new challenges. Now I know that feeling passion for what you do is what makes you go up to eleven and do the extra mile, so the customers can have experiences that might last a life-time. And building up in this idea, I know that whatever comes next will be an opportunity to continue living this life and sharing it with the rest of the people.
