I am one of the site wardens at the RSPB partnership reserve at Dove Stone in the Peak District National Park. The RSPB management the 4000ha site in partnership with United Utilities plc who own the Land for water catchment.The western edge of the site is located near Greenfield, near Oldham. Our office is in Uppermill. The boundary stretches east to Holme Moss Summit then down the Heyden valley to the Longdendale valley at Woodhead. The southern boundary the runs along the Longdendale valley to Arnfield where it then goes north to meet back at Dove Stone reservoir. My main areas of work concern moorland restoration and woodland conversion. I help manage a team of volunteers that contribute to our conservation work.
