What do Robert the Bruce and the Lone Ranger have in common? They were both childhood heroes of my grandfather John, the co-founder of Peter & John Ministries. He and his brother Peter emigrated from Scotland as teenagers and eventually became preachers. Recognizing that kids were not flocking to the church, they devised a novel idea: start a western-themed Christian dude ranch camp on the East Coast, River Valley Ranch. Using that same outside-the-box thinking, they realized they could reach many more people by taking their message to the airwaves. With no prior radio experience, they launched a daily radio program, eventually acquiring their own radio station (WRBS-FM). PJM has become an industry leader in media content and camp experiences.WHO WE ARE:Peter & John Ministries (PJM) is a unique combination of ministries focused on sharing God's love through broadcast and digital media, live events, and immersive camp experiences.WHAT BMG DOES:Life can sometimes be difficult, discouraging, and at times, hopeless. At BMG, we aim to make hope louder by inspiring people to grow deeper in their faith and to serve others.WHAT RVR DOES:We’re a camp that helps kids unplug from this complicated world and plug into a Christ-centered community where they have fun, grow in their faith and build lasting relationships.WHAT I DO:My mission is to inspire and motivate PJM’s staff, board, and key ministry partners to be fully engaged in our mission of sharing God’s love and hope.WHAT I DO WHEN I'M NOT AT WORK:I enjoy hiking with my family and our dog, Sadie, climbing the leaderboard on my Peloton, growing my own vegetables, making homemade brick oven pizzas, and my latest passion—playing competitive chess both online and at in-person tournaments.
