I have been in the pest control industry for over 30 years and have created a very successful business (Abate Pest Management Services) with a great team of people. In 1999 after working with Rentokil and Dyno Kil, I decided to set up my own pest control business and called it Abate. Throughout the years the business has developed in the surrounding counties of Essex, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire as more contracts were awarded. The business is now developing throughout the UK with a network of franchises. The business is CEPA certified, triple ISO accredited, full member of the BPCA, CHAS, SafeContractor and work with many companies to help prevent and cure pest issues. Abate also works on many bird proofing installations including buildings such as Sizewell Power Station where we implemented laser technology, powered through a wind turbine. In 2019, Abate won the British Pest Management Awards Small Company of the Year award. I see myself as a very methodical person, creating solutions to people’s pest problems. I always give free, honest advice, which is well received.I am a family man and have 2 children Ellen and Ollie. I have also written several pest children stories, which I intend to publish one day along with various items of supporting merchandise. My hobbies include playing darts, where my darts team has raised more than £30,000 for local people in need. I also raised £1,500 for a local cancer charity when I rowed 26 miles non-stop on a rowing machine in 3 hours and 10 minutes. My next challenge, when time prevails is to break the 3-hour barrier.
