I conduct research related to civil legal claims and devise estimates of economic damages for both plaintiffs and defendants in preparation for the expert testimony of Dr. Stan Smith. To do so, I review legal and financial documents, utilize government and private sector resources, and coordinate with other experts in order to prepare reports that will be admitted into evidence. Over the course of my tenure with Smith Economics, cases that I worked on have resulted in judgments and settlements for tens of millions of dollars in favor of our clients.Responsibilities:• Write detailed reports outlining past and future economic damages in cases concerning personal injury, wrongful death, commercial damages, business valuation, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, class action settlements, product liability, and patent infringement• Utilize extensive quantitative models to create estimates of economic and non-economic damages• Independently manage multiple cases of varying timelines to meet court mandated deadlines• Coordinate with trial attorneys regarding deadlines and potential damages• Conduct informational interviews with plaintiffs and other relevant parties• Review and critique opposing expert economic reports to identify areas of logical and economic weakness
