• Obtaining all necessary permissions to build the new airport;
• Facilitating design development to deliver scope within budget, and ensuring the timely delivery of construction drawings to the contractors;
• Ensuring compliance to Employers Requirements under FIDIC ‘EPC’ Contract;
• Ensuring compliance to Environmental Conditions during Construction stage;
• Stakeholder Management – principally focus with airport operator, control authorities, airlines, tenants, and site neighbours;

Seconded to Budapest Airport, Hungary to lead Euro 300m development programme.Built and led a team of 35 staff incl. Airport Planners, Development Managers, Project Leaders and Engineers in order to: Obtain all necessary permissions to grow the airport capacity from 8 to 12mppa by 2012. Plan, and deliver a programme of major capital infrastructure.

Executive accountability for the capital approval, appraisal, management and reporting of the capital investment programme across all BAA businesses (7 UK Airports, Rail and IT). Specific responsibilities include: Leading annual capital planning process – typical portfolio £500m p.a. Analysis and recommendations to the Executive for all major capital.

Master planning and design responsibilities for: New Macau Airport,  New Kuala Lumpur Airport, Malaysia, and  Heathrow Eastern Apron redevelopment.

Responsible for the detailed design of several major highway and bridge projects, including 2 years working in Hong Kong and on-site secondment to Japanese contractor, Aoki Corporation.
