I was brought up in the literary representation business (my father ran MCA's lit division for many years) and have been in it now for over 40 years repping screen writers, authors and directors in television, film and stage. The entertainment landscape has changed tremendously over the last 10 or so years and I find myself spending a lot more of my time in the television space these days even though my heart belongs to features. I represent several tv show creators who are also big feature writers and all go back and forth working in both mediums. Same with my director business too. There are so many opportunities in television, and far fewer in the feature business as of late, and I’m constantly on the hunt for new and unique voices. I have been lucky enough to be able to identify them in the beginnings of their pursuit of a career in writing and am proud to be able to say I’ve broken several who have gone on to stardom. I’m still very much involved in the feature film business as well with clients writing and directing in both studio and independent arenas. Although the representation business has always been my main career, I am also a producer.My first film I produced THE TIE THAT BINDS, with Interscope and Disney, THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE, an NBC Miniseries was next and STARSTRUCK, a Disney Channel movie after that. In 2013, Jon Exec Produced POMPEII, and is now about to start SUCKERS, a tv movie for Nickelodeon. Jon's also developing a Broadway musical based on The Poseidon Adventure which is his first foray into producing legitimate stage. Currently, I have a couple of features in development at studios and a handful of setup pilot's I'm EP'ing. So, as you can see, I have my hands in a lot of areas.Specialties: offering thorough, complete and effective management and development services as well as creating heat where none exists!
