A dramatic downturn in sales due to Covid19 resulted in the company making the decision to make those of us who joined most recently, redundant. It was confirmed to my by HR that this decision was absolutely not performance based.

As our business grew I stepped back from some of the finance and HR roles to be able to focus purely on the customer experience that we could provide. This consisted of everything from the development of a new, world class, flagship 8000sq ft store in central Bristol to building satellite brands such as TTS Camp (Cycling and Triathlon training camps in the UK and Mallorca). My significant tasks included.> Curating a unique selection of goods to provide a genuinely class leading experience for our customers. Working closely with brands like Adidas, Hoka, Saucony, Oakley, Castelli, Zone 3 and Garmin, we secured unique products, exceptional in store events, access to amazing experiences for our best customers and a number of industry awards that set us apart from our competition. Our product portfolio spanned 180 brands and over 10,000 unique skus. > Building a store that provided an experience rather than just a sales opportunity. I worked with leading nutritionists to launch an in store healthy cafe and coffee bar, industry renowned physiotherapists worked out of our treatment suite, we had 2 industry leading motional analysis set ups for running London 2012 Olympic bike mechanics worked in our state of the art workshop and Internationally featured bike fitter Chris Newman, founder of NewFit, offered scientific, multi positional motion tracking bike fits in our no-expense spared bike fitting studio. > Providing multiple opportunities for our customers to interact with us and our brands every week with led group runs, rides and general training sessions which often incorporated 'try on' sessions.> Holding customer forum nights to listen to what they want, their dreams, their demands - and feeding this back to our brands and educating us on the products we were developing in house. > Managing and marketing our annual Bristol Tri Show which attracted several thousand people every year.

After 3 years based in Temple Quay we decided it was time for the business to expand so we relocated to an award winning, custom designed flagship store in the Harbourside area of Bristol.World renowned brands used our store as an example of how modern retail should be showcased, how curated performance kit deserved to be presented and how the customer could access everything for their sport.We worked to deliver a class leading proposition for swimmers, cyclists, runners and triathletes.
