As a seasoned Communications and Marketing Officer, I take pride in being an integral part of the dynamic Place Marketing Team at Leicester City Council. Our mission is to showcase the vibrant appeal of Leicester & Leicestershire, focusing on attracting business investors, individuals looking to relocate, and growing the 30 million+ annual visitors to the region through the Visit Leicester brand.The evolving nature of my role has been a constant source of growth, allowing me to flourish into a well-rounded marketing specialist. With a solid foundation in digital marketing techniques acquired during my degree at De Montfort University, I am deeply passionate about using data analysis to inform and drive strategic decisions, and I truly believe that good data must be at the forefront of any marketing activity. My professional journey includes substantial exposure to B2B sales, extensive graphic design proficiency, and a wealth of experience in content marketing and campaign strategy. To further enrich my skill set, I recently completed a 1-year apprenticeship in PR and Communications, which helped to grow my network and expand my knowledge. Additionally, my expertise encompasses project management, partnership working, adept use of various software, including AI tools, and significant experience in website development.This diverse background lets me navigate the ever-changing marketing landscape, and I eagerly anticipate the exciting challenges and opportunities that the marketing industry faces going forward.
