Principal Consultant Jon Coe has worked in arboriculture for 16 years. Initially employed as a climbing arborist, he embarked in 2009 on a BSc in Arboriculture at Myerscough College, qualifying with a first class degree prior turning his business focus to consultancy.Jon is a Professional member of the Arboricultural Association and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Foresters, with whom he aspires to chartered status. As such he adheres to both those organisations’ codes of conduct and ethics, maintaining his independence, impartiality and integrity at all times.In his early years as a climbing arborist, Jon was fortunate to work on many of the largest, oldest and most notable trees in the Derbyshire and South Yorkshire region. His background in hands-on tree work enables report recommendations that are rooted in awareness of practicality and cost. A strong commitment to professional development ensures that these recommendations also reflect the most up-to-date knowledge, research and training. Jon has built the business on the basis of providing the highest standards of service, personalised to the particular requirements of the project and the client. He has formed trusted working relationships with many repeat clients who include homeowners and schools, architects, planning consultants, major landowning bodies and significant national charities. Jon is sensitive to the pressured timescales that his clients often face, and strives to offer a quick turn-around where needed. Pricing structure is transparent, and all costs are agreed with clients in advance of any work taking place.Jon's keen interest in the natural world extends beyond work. When not busy having fun outdoors with his children, he is especially interested in veteran trees and ancient wooded landscapes - and the mountain and coastal wildlife which he observes while keeping his his hand in at his long-held passions of rock climbing and fell running. Bird life is a particular interest and he has used his arborist skills to assist with bird-ringing for conservation (primarily raptors); and has also assisted ecologists on numerous bat surveys.
