The 6 th hire, I utilized non-aerospace methodologies to reduce prototype costs and expedite a safe and successful prototype of the largest human occupied spacecraft ever constructed – earning a $20M funding round.• Led and mentored cross-discipline remote and on-site aerospace engineering and manufacturing teams and selected and managed contract manufacturers and vendors and owned the $2M purchasing budget.• Owned, setup and configured new manufacturing facility from the ground-up. Found and leased the47,000 square foot facility, interviewed and hired the entire manufacturing engineering team. Selected and set up Ion First Resonance Manufacturing Execution System software, detailed and enabled a flourishing business.• Kept tight multi-task, cross-discipline engineering deadlines. Similar techniques were utilized to create a closed loop automated plant growing environment for use in outer-space – or on Mars - that calibrates and corrects itself to the soil found on arrival.
