Creating and delivering the IT & Digital Strategy ensuring that it is appropriate to the business needs and those of its various services, and to create and monitor a Programme of Work to deliver the strategy through a number of key projects.Promote the IT Strategy and the Service Strategies, ensuring that IT proposals conform and incorporate sound project business plans prior, during and after project initiation and implementation.Implement and deliver all projects using Prince 2 methodology, lead and deliver the IT Project Management process, to ensure that projects are properly and appropriately conducted and completed on time and within budget to achieve the original benefits and savings stipulated within a Feasibility and Project Brief.Monitor and support the development of effective project and programme management processes and allocate resource requirements. Identify issues / slippage, create appropriate reports and documented findings, prepare reports for Project Boards and other groups, recommending corrective action where necessary.Identify and document service business needs / requirements and opportunities to best improve their service, this also includes providing advice and guidance on how to achieve maximum benefits from technologies available to them and ensure that the right tools for the job are applied Creating Business Cases on behalf of project sponsors and members; lead Feasibility Studies, and create appropriate Prince 2 Project Documentation.Deliver technical presentations / demonstrations as required to various audiences.Undertake research and development of projects and investigating potential solutions, which may include dealing with external bodies including suppliers, local authorities and government officials.Make recommendations as appropriate for the use of Information Systems and Information Technology to suit the business needs, providing advice and recommendations contributing towards the overall strategic direction.
