Director Of Human Resources Emeritus
Administer procedures and policies relative to certificated and classified personnel of the Office in conformity with the requirements of appropriate federal and state laws including the California Education Code, and local Superintendent and Board Policy. Oversee the selection and hiring processes for certificated and classified recruitments and Office Reductions in Force (RIF). Support the development and maintenance of performance evaluation systems for employees. Supervise and evaluate assigned personnel staff.Oversee management/supervisory personnel in the progressive discipline process for certificated and classified employees. Oversee the development and implementation of professional growth plans for certificated and classified personnel.Act as a liaison to union leaders to resolve employee complaints and concerns in a collaborative setting. Oversee negotiations and prepare collective bargaining agreements. Serves as a liaison with the Public Employment Relation Board (PERB) and other agencies and organizations dealing with employer/employee relations. Oversee training for principal, teachers and other management on the interpretations/adherence of contract language. Recommend Superintendent Policy and Administrative Regulations additions and changes and ensuring these changes are communicated to management. Support the Assistant Superintendent, Human Resource Services, with special projects (one-time, long-term, or on-going). Represent the Office at various community meetings and task forces.
