Delivering business solutions by developing software based systems. Project managing to ensure delivery of these solutions to client requirement on time, to budget and to quality. Working as part of a small team of developers to build software solutions to budget, time and quality requirements. Involved in the complete process including project management, requirements analysis, design, requirement specification, proposal, presentation, planning, acquisition, development, testing and delivery / installation. Key experience includes:• Lead Developer –responsible for delivering solutions on a range of large scale projects, managing and coordinating a team of developers and testers, and liaising directly with clients to ensure that specifications are directly aligned to solve their business problems, and that deliveries are right first time. Strong involvement in all aspects of the development lifecycle from specification, through implementation to deployment, UAT and ongoing support.• Project Manager – taken on role for a variety of projects ranging from a few days to several months. Involved in all key stages of the project, and taking on additional responsibility of ensuring that solutions are delivered to time quality and budget.• Lifecycle Management & Working Practices – shaping, review and updating of key business workflows, with the aim of improving standard practice across the business, and our ability to deliver in an agile, and structured way, in line with standards such as TickITplus.• Software Development – design, implementation, testing and deployment of software products in line with business standards, and to time, quality and budget. Working in self-managing teams on projects ranging in size from a few days to several months. Experience with a variety of technologies and languages including C#, Windows Forms, WPF, WC, ASP.NET and HTML5. Experience of technical design and planning, and management of that plan across a development team.

Whilst at university I worked as a barman and porter at the York Racecourse. Upon completion of my degree I continued to work at the racecourse for a further year, rising to the position of Bar Manager.
