As the Director of Operations, I was responsible for the business's day-to-day operations by executing operational tasks such as leading the staff, managing company systems/processes, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors. Additional responsibilities included accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and managing the company profit and loss statement. I was also responsible for ensuring brokerage compliance with state and federal regulations.One of the things I loved most about this position was having the opportunity to train and coach over 65 agents on real estate and business-related topics.Successes included researching and creating new systems and programs which resulted in attracting agents leading to over 100% growth.

As the Training NCO I was responsible for the training of 120+ Soldiers by carrying out the Commander's plans and programs for the accomplishment of the unit's training objectives and missions. Duties included drafting training schedules, maintaining unit training files, scheduling each Soldier's professional development, and booking travel and accommodations. Assisted the Operations NCO in the operational duties of the company.During my time as Training NCO, the unit received the U.S. Army's 2014 Sibert Award. This award is a recognition of excellence to the best Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Company in the National Guard based on mission readiness, leadership, discipline, and organizational excellence.

Lead a team of two Survey Team Members in providing reconnaissance for suspected incidents involving Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) acts of terrorism. Worked closely with local, state, and federal agencies to locate any possible threats and take samples as necessary for confirmatory analysis in a laboratory.I created custom classes to teach other agencies about CBRN issues, the use of detection equipment, response techniques, sampling techniques, etc. based on the individual needs of each agency. Worked side by side with agencies at low and high-profile events to monitor for the presence of CBRN and respond to any concerns during the event.Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of over $500,000 in specialized equipment.One of my favorite accomplishments in this role was working with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to test standardized sampling methods for biological agents, then later presenting the need for standardized sampling techniques at the National Bio-Threat Conference. This presentation and demonstration resulted in numerous local, state, and federal agencies in attendance adopting the methods. I was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for recognition as a subject matter expert and leader in Emergency Response to Bio-Terrorism.
