I’m responsible for leading the technical and nutritional support for the cattle business throughout areas of Texas and Louisiana. Additionally, I’m accountable for nutrition and cattle-production education for the sales team and dealer group in the red river area. My role includes being tasked with promoting cattle nutrition sales with specific end users and prospects through consultative approach and technical knowledge. I partner in the organization and conducting of producer events that promote best practices for nutrition and management; including proof field trials to demonstrate the profitability of the Purina product line. I also serve as a key liaison with the beef industry and advocacy groups. Finally, I work with the Purina technical team and research staff to lead innovative research and product development; both in the field and at the Purina Research Center in St. Louis, MO.

I was responsible for training and coaching the University’s Livestock Judging and Meat Animal Evaluation Teams, which competed in 12 national contests annually. I was tasked with hosting and executing various youth development and outreach events, working closely with Texas 4-H and FFA organizations. I oversaw the team’s livestock judging camps held every June, which attracted over 200 4-H and FFA youth from across the nation. I was accountable for securing outside funding for the judging program and managing the finances of the teams. I instructed numerous undergraduate courses throughout the Animal Science discipline and assisted with recruitment efforts for the Department of Animal and Food Sciences.
